Duties
Serve as a Supervisory Staff Administrator for an Army Reserve Brigade, Group, or comparable size element.
Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff.
Formulate plans and programs to insure consistent implementation of the Commander’s objectives.
Provide advice to the Commander and staff on a variety of programs associated with carrying out the organization’s mission.
Conduct analysis of programs and activities through the review of reports.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and set and adjust short term priorities.

- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing operations and programs for a unit in the areas of personnel and pay management, training, administration, supply, maintenance operations, information management, resource management, recruitment, inspections and investigations, public relations, and/or security; analyzing and providing guidance on directives, policies, or instructions from higher headquarters; maintaining oversight of the overall readiness status of subordinate units; and exercising supervision over the daily activities of a full time staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
