About the Position: Working for the Mission & Installation Contracting Command in Yuma, Arizona is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to make a difference working in a small field office fulfilling the unique requirements associated with the nation's Major Range and Test Facility Bases (MRTFB) for weapons testing.

Duties

Analyzes various procurement, management documents and reports and takes appropriate action. Generates, prepares, controls, reviews recurring error reports. Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information. Prepares, verifies, abstracts, controls, procurement documents, files, reports, or records. Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information. Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Qualified typist required.
  • Travel may be required up to 5%.
  • A Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing various support duties that include updating and maintaining documents or reports; 2) Extracting and compiling data for statistical reports; and 3) Resolving a variety of shipment, payment, or other discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
