CHRA NAF CYS Service Center (C2SC) is looking for experienced & motivated HR Specialist (Background Check Support) to be a part of their team! Duties

Works with appropriate personnel to ensure Army NAF position employment requirements are properly identified , new hires and employees are screened properly, and background check requirements met. Ensures employment and background check processes are executed in accordance with (IAW) established regulation, policy, law, or guidance and ensures background check information is maintained IAW applicable guidelines. Applies innovative thinking for the development of best practices, and critical thinking to identify and resolve process gaps or barriers to successful onboarding. Serves as a key NAF HR representative to work with stakeholders PSI-CoE, CSSC, DoD CAF, DCSA, security office etc. Involved in background check, suitability, fitness, or personnel security areas of responsibility. Develops and delivers formal presentations using a mix of verbal and written techniques to communicate needed data. Serves as a background check subject-matter expert for briefings and trainings.

  • Occasional travel for training purposes to off post locations is required
  • This is a CHRA NAF Career Path II position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path II within twenty-four (24) months of placement into the position

Qualifications

1.Experience working in a human resources office performing recruitment and staffing related duties. 2.Knowledge of pre-employment related processes and requirements (background checks/screening, investigation, conditions of employment etc.) 3.Experience identifying and analyzing trends; and applying problem resolution techniques. 4.Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent) to produce reports, and formal presentations. 5.Experience using automated personnel security information systems (or equivalent) (i.e. Personnel Security Investigation Portal/PSIP, Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing /eQIP, CVS, etc.). 6.Demonstrated experience delivering trainings or briefings. Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment/placement and background checks capacity and have completed CHRA NAF Career Path I.
