This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serve as an analyst responsible for performing a wide variety of assignments concerned with effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations related to the accomplishment of mission and functions of multiple programs of PEO Missiles and Space.
Duties
Provide continuity in evaluating the impact of new or revised policies, procedures, or other requirements on office operations.
Conduct and participate in management and administrative studies; analyzes and evaluates information; prepares and submits resultant reports and briefings.
Make effective use of the Internet and other web-based technologies to perform information searches, research and analysis, and general fact-finding.
Provide key assistance to the chief and/or director by managing one-time, special, and recurring projects/programs.
Serve as the point of contact for command taskers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Selectee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category of Program Management and Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 60 months

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience includes (1) Defining administrative requirements such as interpreting policies or regulations to provide guidance on contract related matters; (2) Developing courses of actions regarding complex contract issues to advise management officials; and (3) Analyzing and preparing program status reports/reviews for senior leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
