About the Position: The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is the Army's materiel readiness command for aviation, missile and calibration that optimizes joint warfighter capabilities at the point of need.
Duties
Supply Support Activity Accountable Officer working closely with stakeholders at all levels to provide total logistics budget and supply support for supported systems.
Focal point between unit personnel, ACLC, USAACE, LRC, DLA, AMCOM and the MSC on all retail/wholesale supply and logistics budget related issues.
Perform oversight of personnel within a supply support activity concerning supply systems policy and functional procedures.
Perform Assigned Stockage Listings reviews and perform Demand Accommodation reviews for the Airfield Bench Stock and Shop Stocks.
Plan requirements for stockage and control based on accumulation of demand data. Control management of operational float stocks to ensure compliance with Army policy.
Recommend action(s) to improve spend plan and parts budget execution rates. Review Supply Performance Reports budget reports and databases to identify short- and long-term logistics budget and supply problems
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Foundational level, within 3 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using enterprise systems such as Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Army Common Operating (ARCOP), or another similar system, to perform logistics management functions; researching supply/maintenance problems; and assisting in developing solutions to readiness issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
