This position is in Region 9, Mission Support Division, Grants Branch, Grants Compliance, Audit, Policy and Training Section. About Region 9: Website. Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as providing procedural and administrative guidance on the planning, evaluation, and/or improvement of theeffectiveness of grants management operations, programs, and/or policies; and gathering and evaluating grants management programmatic data to develop complete decision packages, staff studies, recommendations, and/or special reports used by management. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Skill in applying a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing grants management programs. Skill in providing advice and guidance to senior leaders, decisions makers and other key stakeholders on program. Knowledge of grants management, standards, and methods for administrative and financial management. Knowledge of applying a wide range of methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning complex management and administrative processes, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate action. Ability to make decisions and recommendations to improve regional grants management programs. Ability to administer training on grants management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
