This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment.
Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
Performs all preventative maintenance, operational checks, repair, layout, installation, troubleshooting, tracing, locating defects, and modification on all new and existing electronic systems park wide.
Incumbent must be able to appropriately apply the applicable standards, codes, and regulations, to select the correct materials and methods for installation, maintenance, repair, modification, or upgrade of covered systems. Plans and lays out the routing, placement, type and size of devices, fixtures, wire, etc.
Establishes and maintains an extensive supply of parts, sensors, panels, wiring, etc. in order to facilitate maintenance of the different intrusion alarm systems and the intrusion two-way radio reporting system Park-wide.
Responsible for performing initial acceptance testing of new fire alarm systems and all other systems certification testing required on an annual, biannual, or longer bases.
Provides and maintains a supply of replacement radio parts (i.e. batteries, battery chargers, antenna's, etc.).
