You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER of NAVMEDFORLANT PORTSMOUTH VA.

Duties

You will serve as the Expeditionary Medical Logistics Program Manager advising the Chief of Staff on acquisition planning and execution issues in support of Navy Medicine’s Medical Logistics Management. You will identify program goals, objectives and requirements and advise higher authorities of the impact of the Expeditionary Medical Logistics Program on the overall Navy medicine mission. You will monitor and report on the execution of program funds ensuring attainment of Navy obligation and disbursement targets. You will extract unit status report (USR)/ defense readiness reporting system (DRSS) data and staff shortages with proponent for resolution. You will develop and implement procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems in line or operating systems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience identifying, researching, and applying management and industrial concepts and techniques. Experience utilizing automated management information systems, quantitative or qualitative analysis, decision analysis, current leadership trends, and determination of resource requirements. Experience utilizing EXMED-FOS management theory and practices, management information systems, system hardware and software technology, availability and acceptability of equipment and congressional budget decisions. Experience identifying issues and recommending decisions on the directed operations. Experience developing short and long-range planning in connection with decisions on medical programs and projects.
