Duties
Pass on instructions to other workers
Ensure plans, parts, and tools are available
Check work in progress
Assure rules and regulations are followed
Perform complex repairs on rotary wing aircraft
Provide information to the supervisor on work status
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Aircraft Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision: maintaining and repairing rotary wing aircraft to include changing oil and hydraulic pumps, lubricating aircraft components, and a variety of less complex maintenance functions. Familiar with the shop environment and the ability to lead and prioritize. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical effort: Makes repairs, both on and off the aircraft, from work stands, and where parts worked on are in hard-to-reach places. Required to climb, stoop, bend, stretch and in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently required to lift and carry items that weigh about 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside shops, aircraft, or outside in varying weather conditions. Exposed to high frequency and high intensity noises. Dirt, dust, grease, and fumes are normally present. Danger of the possibility of cuts, burns, shocks, strains, falls, and eye or skin irritations is possible.
