About the Position: You will serve as Supervisor for Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) responsible for the overall management, planning, and acquisition of fielding and training activities.
This is a temporary position of one year and can be made permanent. It can be extended for up to five years in one-year increments.
Duties
Supervise employees engaged in fielding and training work including the planning and scheduling of work to be accomplished by subordinates.
Serve as Supervisor with responsibility for the overall management, planning, acquisition, direction, and coordination of MF and TPF support activities for supported organizations.
Develop and assess system fielding plans to assure that distribution and support planning is substantive and accurate.
Develop and execute training strategies and concepts to support PM, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), DoD, and other Government agencies, for TACOM managed systems worldwide.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- A one-year probationary period may be required unless already completed.
- This is a Temporary position intended to last one year. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of five years (in one-year increments) and may be terminated at any time depending upon the needs of management.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Providing New Equipment Training (NET) and Total Package Fielding (TPF) logistic support during all phases of the acquisition life cycle for one or more vehicle/weapons systems; (2) Monitoring program execution and contractor performance to assure compliance with milestones and contract terms; (3) Coordinating NET and TPF logistics activities for vehicles/weapon systems; AND (4) Identifying and resolving complex problems to lessen the impact on cost, schedule, performance and/or other logistics support requirements.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
