Duties

This position is located in the Division of Construction and Instruments (DCI), Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP), Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI), Office of the Director (OD), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and can be filled at the GS-12, 13 or 14 levels. Are you an exceptional candidate who can provide scientific expertise and collaboration to one of the preeminent offices responsible for the support of extramural research grants in Construction and Instruments? This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as an integral part of a division with responsibility for programs that provide funding for the purchases of state-of-the-art commercially available instruments to enhance research of NIH-funded investigators. This Division also supports funding for construction, renovation, and modernization of research space. The duties of this position include: providing input in interpreting major polices relating to research infrastructure and shared research resource programs planning, advising, and evaluating program activities for a portfolio of research project, research program and other grants/awards for shared scientific instrumentation, construction and modernization of research facilities, or related research resource initiatives reviewing and evaluating periodic and interim progress reports to determine effectiveness of support and achievement of objectives for shared scientific instrumentation, construction and modernization of research facilities, or related research resource initiatives recommending funding plans for animal model, shared scientific instrumentation, construction and modernization of research facilities, or related research resource initiatives organizing and conducting workshops, conferences, or symposia for shared scientific instrumentation, construction or modernization of research facilities, and related research resource initiatives.
