You will serve as a Facilities Management Specialist (FMS) in the Requirements Branch of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will establish policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the production employees while accomplishing work.
You will use automated systems to track and analyze project progress
You will coordinate with contractors and government agencies to accomplish varied construction projects.
You will analyze problems to determine the root cause and recommend sound solutions.
You will conduct pre-final and final inspections to ensure completed work complies with contract requirements.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes while conducting site visits.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Applying financial regulations to determine the correct type of funding for facility and equipment issues; and 2) Identifying, prioritizing, and initiating projects to be placed on the Maintenance Action Plans (MAPs) and Maintenance Execution Plans (MEPs) for assigned facilities and programs; 3) Demonstrates skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet; 4) Manages programs and fosters an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission; 5) Monitors progress and evaluates outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness; 6) Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results; 7) Determines objectives, sets priorities, and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place, ensuring that national interests are well served; 8) Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences, with clear and convincing oral presentations; and 9) Demonstrates skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
