This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region VI in Houston, TX. As the leader of Lender Relations in the District, is responsible for providing effective leadership, management and oversight required to optimize the deployment of SBA programs and services in the District and to achieve assigned goals.
Duties
As a Lead Lender Relations Specialist, GS-1101-13, you will be responsible for:
developing, implementing and achieving an annual viable Strategic Lender Marketing Plan (SLMP).
articulating how the District will optimize the deployment of SBA loan programs and services in the District and the achievement of assigned goals.
conducting required face-to-face lender visits with individual lending institutions for the purpose of delivering SBA loan programs and services in the District and in accordance with the Strategic Lender Marketing Plan (SLMP).
leading projects to accomplish the training events and presentations and will be expected to collaborate with others on the team and other resources to ensure that the projects are successful.
reviewing documentation and/or information provided by the small business client, provides guidance for potential resolution to challenges related to access to capital to prepare them for meeting with lenders and other funding sources

- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience for GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
leading a team in commercial or business loan proposal development, packaging and structuring; and
marketing lending program and services to external customers through outreach activities; and
conducting formal training or professional development; and
in the growth and development of a customer base; and
using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.
