DON Pathways Internship Program You will serve as a Student Trainee (Admin/Management) in the Pathways Internship Program of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

You will be interacting with engineers and other users to provide help desk support related primarily to MS Windows and Office. You will be performing support tasks involved with equipment operations. You will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. You will ask questions to determine the nature of problems. You will walk talk customers through problem-solving processes. You will troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Must be enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in an accredited school.
  • Must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis as defined by your school.
  • Proof of enrollment reflecting your Fall 2024 Status (includes transcripts, class schedule, or acceptance letter). Proof of future enrollment required upon entrance on duty.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the NO-01 Pay Band you must meet the following required level of education: *Currently accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an accredited 4-year college/university; advanced degree program; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree program in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources on at least a half-time basis. *We encourage you to submit documentation (acceptance letter, enrollment verification, transcripts, etc.) to verify this information. To be eligible for the NO-02 Pay Band you must meet the following required level of education: *Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school study leading to a Bachelor's degree (or more advanced degree), and currently enrolled in a Business, Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources advanced degree program on at least a half-time basis. Note: 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) is comparable to 1 year of undergraduate education. 120 semester hours of progressive study is comparable to 4 years and/or completion of an undergraduate degree. *We encourage you to submit documentation (acceptance letter, enrollment verification, transcripts, etc.) to verify this information. You must also be currently enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in a qualifying degree program. All educational requirements and documentation to verify your eligibility for this position must be provided prior to Entrance on Duty. Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) Requirement: This position requires you to currently possess and maintain an overall G.P.A. of 2.5 or greater out of a 4.0 scale. (G.P.A.'s are rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.45 rounds to 2.5 and 2.44 rounds to 2.4). Your G.P.A. must be reflected in your resume. Education

QUALIFYING EDUCATION: Any of the following educational institutions or curricula that have been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the secretary of the U.S. Department of Education:(i) 4-year college or university;(ii) A graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school).
