You will serve as a SECURITY OFFICER in the Executive Department of REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP, GROTON.
Duties
Your will serve as the principal advisor on personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.
You will provide command support in managing, directing and administering the operations of the Security Office, providing staff and Command-wide security support services which include management and accountability of highly sensitive material.
You will make recommendations and decisions that are universally accepted and sound, though final approval may depend upon formal actions by others.
You will maintain the Regional Support Group Command Security Program.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying security procedures and practices for the protection of classified and sensitive unclassified information, security clearances, physical protection of personnel and facilities; and
Performing security inspections of facilities for an organization.
