As a Lead Budget Analyst within the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center-Administrative Services Branch, some of your specific duties will include:

Qualifications

For GS-12: Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-12 level: One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-11 level work: Monitors, tracks, and reviews obligations, expenditures, and reimbursable agreements. Prepares a variety of recurring management reports including status of funds, trend analysis, obligations, and expenditures; identifies and resolves errors and issues. Performs routing aspects of year-end close-out activities to ensure accurate documentation of expenditures, proper use of funds, and compliance with anti-deficiency laws and regulations. Provides routine budgetary and financial advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and project personnel regarding processes, procedures, regulations, policies, and requirements. Responsible for the full range of routine budget formulation and justification activities for the assigned organizations, program, and/or projects.
