You will serve as a MATERIALS EXPEDITER LEADER in the Tool Room, Mechanical Division, Repair Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will lead Material Expediters and Tool and Parts Attendants in performing material handling, control, storage and supply support. You will pass general instructions and guidelines received from supervisor and directs daily work to shift employees. You will provide guidance and on-the-job training to employees in compliance with rules, regulations, instruction and policies. You will distribute and balance workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization. You will oversee work in progress or spot check/review completed work to see instructions, methods and deadlines have been met. You will plan, schedule, expedite and coordinate receipt, custody, and issue of all tooling and materials within one or more worksites and warehouses.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. You must meet the physical qualifications required for issuance of a permit to operate forklifts and/or motor vehicles.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position requires rotating shift work.
• This work requires some physical exertion including climbing and lifting up to 60 lbs. to perform material assessment, receipt storage and issue.
