National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking Supervisory Administrative Officers. Duties
Exercises the full range of supervisory responsibilities over the subordinate staff. The incumbent ensures that the work agenda of each subordinate team is operating efficiently and effectively, and that the overall support services provided sufficiently meet the needs of the operating areas for which they are responsible.
Advises senior management on administrative matters and provides authoritative interpretations of administrative policies and practices that affect the organization. Develops and advises on administrative requirements for a complex organization and actively participates in developing and implementing administrative management policies.
Supervises and performs all or several applicable administrative and advisory services and/or functions such asbudget and finanical management.
Provides administrative support for Organizational Procurement and Contracting.
Performs any of several vital functions or services such as human resources coordination; facilities, property and/or space management, and security and/or safety administration.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: designing and overseeing the administrative strategy and programs aimed to increase compliance, alignment/standardization, efficiency, and advance organizational mission. This specialized experience includes responsibilities such as 1) Partnering with senior-level officials (e.g., executives, directors) to design/implement administrative initiatives (e.g., space management, travel services, property accountability) that increase organizational efficiency; 2) Supervising a team of employees (i.e., selecting, training, and monitoring work); 3) Implementing HR programs and initiatives (e.g., specialty staffing, upward mobility, rotation programs); 4) Developing, administering, and monitoring program budget to ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations; and 5) Analyzing workload trends/projections to determine organizational structure and workforce needs (e.g., recruitment, placement).
