Duties

Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Sets up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold foods and beverages. Prepares coffee and hot water for tea, fills beverage dispensers with juices and soft drinks. Sets tables, seats guests, records guests' selections and turns in orders to the kitchen. Serves food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Presents bill and receives payment. Cleans tables and immediate area. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads. Portions out food, cleans and prepares meats and seafood for cooking.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
  • Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following: ability to work alone, AND ability to properly use special cleaning and sanitizing solutions, AND ability to perform simple food handling techniques, AND ability to work safely, AND ability to serve multiple patrons at the same time, AND ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate patron bills and give change, AND ability to take inventory, AND skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages, AND meet state/local age requirements (18 years old) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment (PROJECTED APPOINTMENT DATE: 9/1/2024), AND physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis, AND physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, walk and reach on a constant basis.
