You will serve as a Program Manager (Deputy Director) for the US Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience - HQ, Field Operations and Disaster Recovery (FODR) in Washington, District of Columbia. This position oversees all aspects of the SBA field operations and recovery programs within the program office.
Duties
As a Program Manager (Deputy Director) at the GS-0340-15, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Exercising the full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing the work of subordinate supervisors and staff.
Establishing work priorities, issuing guidance, assigning work, evaluating performance, and counseling on technical and administrative matters.
Managing critical process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in service delivery, reduced operational unit costs, increased quality, and reduced cycle time.
Identifying areas to standardize activities and ensuring consistent levels of service across the country when responding to disasters.
Investigating and analyzing a wide variety of problems and recommending appropriate solutions for the recovery portions of an
organization's primary missions and projects of national interest.

- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
- This is not a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level.
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector. This experience must demonstrate all of the following:
Investigating and/or analyzing problems related to recovery portions of an agency or organization's mission and recommending appropriate solutions; and
Managing and/or supervising an organization's operations related to the management of financial and/or staffing resources; and
Collaborating with internal and/or external key stakeholders on decisions that relate to disaster response, recovery, and/or mitigation efforts; and
Developing and/or presenting written reports and briefings to senior managers or executive-level decision-makers; and
Managing process improvements of an organization's key initiatives to improve service delivery, reduce operational unit costs, increase quality, or reduce cycle time.
