The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work of the 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Ground Transportation Element.

Duties

- Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily or by project basis. - Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. - Performs administration responsibilities. Participates with employees in the development of performance plans and recommends them to supervisors. - Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. - Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas.

• The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required for the position.
• Incumbent must possess or have the capability to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsements within 12 months of assignment. This requirement is a condition of employment

• Position required the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth
• Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Multi-day travel may be required to support customer transportation requirements.
• This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

• Work requires reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the , WG-5700 Transportation/Mobile Equipment Operation Group. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to supervise. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised. 4. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
