Duties
In this position as an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for providing accounting support for a variety of complex accounts.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service is required. Examples of specialized experience are: establishing, monitoring, maintaining, and controlling accounting or financial transactions for multiple accounts; reviewing, analyzing, classifying, and reconciling transactions, and commitment and obligation documents; tracing, researching, and resolving accounting discrepancies.

Education may be substituted for experience if you have 1 year of graduate education (beyond a Bachelors degree) in a field directly related to this position.
OR,
A combination specialized experience and related graduate level education.
