You will serve as a INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST in the NJROTC Program Support Division
of NSTC GREAT LAKES.
Duties
You will plan, coordinate, and develop curriculum for units and oversees instructional design and maintenance of program curriculum.
You will provide administrative/operational support and leads curricula accreditation process by monitoring and conducting various testing analysis.
You will guide and support the advisory board in reviewing and updating curricula and leads revision projects.
You will manage and lead the research and preparation of training aids, delivery methods, and technology while seeking improvements.
You will conduct comprehensive analytical studies that involve complex issues, and broad and varied subjects.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plans, coordinates, and develops curriculum for units and oversees instructional design and maintenance of program curriculum; 2) Provides administrative/operational support and leads curricula accreditation process by monitoring and conducting various testing analysis; 3) Guides and supports the advisory board in reviewing and updating curricula and leads revision projects; 4) Manages and leads the research and preparation of training aids, delivery methods, and technology while seeking improvements; and 5) Comprehend analytical studies that involve complex issues, and broad and varied subjects.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a 4 year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position. My course work included study in at least four of the five following areas: 1) Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material. 2) Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness. 3) Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments. 4) Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training. 5) Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, which includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course work must include study in four of the following five areas: 1) Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology; 2) Instructional Design Practices; 3) Educational Evaluation; 4) Instructional Product Development; 5) Computers in Education and Training.

Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The education includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course work must include study in four of the following five areas: 1) Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology; 2) Instructional Design Practices; 3) Educational Evaluation; 4) Instructional Product Development; 5) Computers in Education and Training.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
