Duties

As a Supervisory Criminal Targeting Specialist, at the full performance level you will perform the following duties: Provide technical advice and leadership assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of the NCATC's employees and core processes; Assist in identifying, prioritizing and geo-targeting removable non-citizens who have committed egregious crimes against public safety; Provide subject matter expertise and guidance relating to NCATC protocols and procedures. Conduct outreach presentations within the agency, other law enforcement entities and civilian entities on the NCATC capabilities. Assures equality of performance standards and rating techniques employed m the assessment of subordinates. Resolves conflicts, makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinates. Responds to and resolves technical and operational questions regarding operations supervised and directed.

  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Accurately identifies the immigration status of targeted individuals and investigates criminal charges and convictions to interpret the criminality of the target; Researches and obtains supportable documentation from various law enforcement entities; Identifies appropriate statistical and analytical approaches and formulates strategies for data retrieval and analysis, trends, relationships, and possible systemic vulnerabilities; Prepares complete and comprehensive written reports and/or makes recommendations for corrective actions; Provides training and guidance to other Criminal Targeting Specialist (CTS) in the operation, policy, and procedures of the National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center (NCATC).
