You will serve as a OILER in the Repair Department, of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will take oil samples of equipment to determine in they need change. You will dispose of all waster generated using proper waste information sheets, appropriate containers, and established procedures You will disassemble resin filter canisters. You will energize and operate equipment to move parts to check fluid levels. You will disassemble and reassemble equipment for fluid and filter changes. You will replace coolant lines, hoses, fittings, and pumps. You will perform routine maintenance operations such as: cleaning and flushing bearings and gear boxes, replacing defective oil lines, cups, grease retainers and fittings, and tightening pump glands. You will disassemble and reassemble equipment to accomplish fluid and filter changes, and repair and replacement of coolant lines, hoses, fittings, and pumps. You will use appropriate testing instruments and procedures to check coolant and lubricant for cleanliness, proper ratios.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
