You will serve as a PIPEFITTER TRAINING LEADER in the Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will teach basic pipefitting trade theory and practical work including but not limited to: principles, concepts, terminology, processes and practices of the trade, and information regarding safety, tools, equipment and materials. You will prepare lesson plans, training materials , and visual aids for the development of learning through classroom and or on-the-job training. You will ensure scheduling and coordinating of practical work in the shop is accomplished as closely as possible with the progression of leaning the elements of trade theory. You will counsel employees on the day-to-day problems involving non-nuclear trade theory, trade practices, and other related information. You will maintain trainees progress and performance records.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
