This position is located at the United States Mint in the Office of the Manufacturing Department in Philadelphia, PA. As a PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER, you will be training a multifunctional work force of machine operators, counting and packaging machine operators, die setters, heat treaters and production maintenance mechanics.
Duties
As a PRODUCTION MACHINERY MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER, you will:
Provide specialized classroom and on-the-job training related to annealing furnaces, burnishing equipment, upsetting mills, edge lettering equipment, coin and blank presses, coin destruction machine and other production and support equipment associated with the coin manufacturing industry
Provide specialized training methods, procedures and techniques for operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing coin presses, annealing furnaces, upsetting mills, edge lettering machines, counting machines, coin destruction equipment, and other production and support equipment
Train Production Maintenance Mechanics (WG-10), Die Setters (WG-9), Heat Treaters (WG-8), Press Operators (WG-7) and Production Machinery Operators (WG-6) in the operation, disassembly and repair of specific sections of metal forming machines, counting machines, annealers, upsetters, blanking presses, coin destruction equipment, automated racking systems (Philly only) and other production equipment

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
You must meet the screen-out element Ability to Instruct, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
