About the Position: The position functions as the Chief, Programs Division, in G-3 Operations and Training Directorate and provides planning support to Headquarters (HQ) United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) and its subordinate staff for the development of command initiatives. Develops, implements, and manages USAREC programs that enhance or support overall mission accomplishment. This is a Permanent position.

Duties

Establishes processes and procedures for the development of all plans and orders for Headquarters (HQ) United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). Plans, develops, and coordinates detailed work and resource requirements for a variety of complex USAREC projects and activities in support of recruitment initiatives. Manages the division's annual budget requirements and ensures conformance with DA and USAREC policy, guidance, and instructions. Synchronizes the efforts of HQ USAREC staff in relation to recruitment programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the employee to complete a Financial Disclosure OGE-450 annually.
  • Work occasionally requires travel away from the normal duty station for training or conferences 10% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
