Duties
Ensure all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site.
Run diagnostic testing and troubleshooting all equipment and machinery to determine cause of malfunction.
Plan and layout work for the installation of new machinery and equipment.
Breakdown equipment and equipment components inspecting parts and replacing as required.
Adjust and repair production machinery and equipment.
Requirements

About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as Production Machinery Mechanic Leader located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Production Machinery Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common tasks planning, training, passing on instructions from supervisor, and ensuring plans and materials are available; diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Works in tiring or uncomfortable positions for periods of time, with frequent bending, reaching, stretching and crouching. Climbs on and under equipment in awkward positions and in tight compartments. Handles heavy items weighing up to 100 pounds and exerts similar effort in pushing, pulling, and positioning items. Handles and moves heavier items with assistance from other workers or with lifting devices such as jacks, hoists or cranes. Works from ladders or platforms at varying heights.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works indoors and 60% to 70% of the time works outdoors in all types of weather; works in very dirty and noisy atmosphere. Exposed to irritants and hazards such as dust, grease, fumes, moving objects and unsure footing. Work environment and processes provide potential for cuts, burns, irritations, bruises, electrical shock and injuries from falls. Uses protective equipment such as eyewear, hard hats, hard toe shoes, hearing protectors and respirators which may be uncomfortable to wear or use and may be worn for long periods of time.
