You will serve as a PROGRM MANAGER wihtin the Special Program Office at MARCORSYSCOM.
Duties
You will begin be responsible and accountable for all planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research and technology initiatives.
You will provide new products based on unproven concepts of rapidly advancing technology and pioneer efforts requiring significant technological breakthroughs.
You will lead the Program Office planning activities in providing direction to the team leaders and supporting staff.
You will be responsible for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approaches within departments.
You will negotiate with command personnel r the necessary resources, control milestone schedules, budgets, and costs to ensure program success.
You will translate portfolio strategic planning into program office level actions necessary to support the higher-level goals and objectives.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TS/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-III pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: defining and negotiating with departments and command personnel for necessary resources, control milestone schedules, budgets, and costs to ensure program success; evaluating work performance of subordinates.
