You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE, RESOURCES AND ASSESSMENT DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Duties
You will requisition and makes purchases of supplies, material, equipment and services.
You will review and screen Material Request Forms (MRFs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) for accuracy.
You will track and maintain up-to-date on the status of all requisitions and purchases.
You will resolve all discrepancies with services and material orders.
You will document all purchases in accordance with current regulations and instructions.
You will reconcile and validate monthly credit card statements
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Requisitioning and making purchases in compliance with supply and service acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations; 2) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with vendors, customers, and other Government offices to negotiate costs and delivery, provide status updates, and resolve issues; 3) Using a web-based Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solution (e.g. MAXIMO) to track, allocate, order, inventory and execute all supply operations for delivery of products and services; and 4) Preparing and maintaining records, reconciling report/data discrepancies for actions such as material ordering, shipping, tracking, receipt, and invoices.
