About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. TThis position is located at the U.S. Army Counterintelligence CMD Operations Support Battalion Good Fellow AFB, TX.

Duties

Conducts the most complex counterintelligence Polygraph examinations on military personnel of all grades assigned/detailed to the National Security Agency and on both military and civilian personnel. Prepares and evaluates polygraph investigative techniques and methods to be utilized during examination and prepares complete, concise investigative reports of all exams conducted. Conducts intelligence operational and specific issue suitability polygraph examinations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a CI Scope Polygraph Examination and pass random examinations thereafter in accordance with Army Regulation 380-67, Personnel Security Program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET level security clearance based on a Special Background Investigation (SBI) and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain INSCOM certification as a Polygraph Examiner.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must have U.S. Army Counterintelligence Badge and Credentials or must be able to successfully complete the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent Course located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
  • Must be able to endure extended periods of bending, standing, and sitting.
  • TDY may constitute up to 50% of time.
  • Must be a graduate of the Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PDD) Course, the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA), Fort Jackson, South Carolina. See additional information for further explanation.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Specialized experience is defined as defined as experience conducts the most complex counterintelligence Polygraph examinations on military personnel of all grades assigned/detailed to the National Security Agency; coordinating logistical requirements for pre-examination briefings and polygraph testing at SAP contractors throughout CONUS; AND conducting intelligence operational and specific issue suitability polygraph examinations.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Must be a graduate of the Psycho-physiological Detection of Deception (PDD) Course, at the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA). OR Must have U.S. Army Counterintelligence Badge and Credentials. This position requires a job-related license or certification. You MUST submit a copy of your license or certification with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.
