At the GS-09 you will serve as the NAVAIR Armament Repair Facility (NARF) Maintenance Logistics Management Specialist in the Sustainment Group, Weapons Maintenance Sustainment Branch, At the GS-11, you will serve as the NAVAIR Armament Repair Facility (NARF) Maintenance Lead in the Sustainment Group, Weapons Maintenance Sustainment Branch for NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will assist in the planning and preparation of the daily/monthly/quarterly work schedules for the ALM Branch.
You will participate in departmental divisional teams developing logistic planning for existing and planned (new) missile systems.
You will assist in providing required financial data to establish budgetary support of future workload requirements, including researching vendors.
You will assist with logistics support to include drafting Statements of Work (SOW), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and detailed cost estimates (material, shipping, labor, etc.) for ordnance maintenance.
You will provide logistics data management (collection, data integrity, monitoring, analysis, data and interpretation, scheduling, and theater transportation) in support of NARF maintenance supporting multiple weapons.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following:
1) Analyzing operational problems, economic factors and other criteria, conceptualizing a desired future operational capability;2) familiarity, of all aspects of safety; explosive and industrial and applying this criteria to a production operation; 3) familiarity, of principles, practices and techniques involved in the installation and application of computer data systems (AWIS, OIS, OIS-R, OIS-W);4) familiarity, of air launched bombs, bomb components/Airborne Expendable Countermeasures Model and Maintenance of Airborne Weapons Systems, Air Launched Missile Systems, relevant manuals and maintenance procedures.
To Qualify for the GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following:
1) Analyzing operational problems, economic factors and other criteria, conceptualizing a desired future operational capability;2) familiarity, of all aspects of safety; explosive and industrial and applying this criteria to a production operation; 3) familiarity, of principles, practices and techniques involved in the installation and application of computer data systems (AWIS, OIS, OIS-R, OIS-W);4) familiarity, of air launched bombs, bomb components/Airborne Expendable Countermeasures Model and Maintenance of Airborne Weapons Systems, Air Launched Missile Systems, relevant manuals and maintenance procedures; 5) experience leading or mentoring others.
