You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TRIDENT Program Management Division, Business Maintenance & Management Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Duties
You will review and certify refurbishment documentation accomplished at TRF Bangor and maintain local records of all TRF Bangor refurbishment actions.
You will provide technical recommendations as to the range and depth of TRIPER components including those components deemed beyond economical repair
You will provide technical assistance for configuration management of TRIPER items under TRF Bangor cognizance.
You will resolve technical problems with equipment, test and documentation deficiencies.
You will research information, analyze and evaluate deficiencies, determine approach to resolve deficiency, recommend changes and coordinate implementation of resolution.
You will provide technical assistance with receipt inspections for TRIPER components received by TRF Bangor.
You will review documentation for accuracy and completeness, conduct visual inspections of components for obvious deficiencies and coordinate implementation of resolution.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating technical engineering documents to resolve technical deficiencies with equipment or testing, and develop improved procedures in support of ship or submarine repairs.
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting technical engineering documents, to resolve technical deficiencies with equipment or testing, and recommend improved procedures, to support ship or submarine repair.
