Duties

Manages end-user IT requirements and accountable property for Organizations and other supported customers. Develops, implements, and enforces cost effective logistics solutions for management, accountability, and control of end-user IT requirements at national and world-wide locations. Incorporates findings into organization policies and procedures. Manages and coordinates receipts, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and internal movement of property. Ensures processes are in accordance with organization regulations. Researches and Analyzes end-user IT requirements for life-cycle replacement.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as experience assisting with developing, implementing, and enforcing cost effective logistics solutions for management. For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as: Experience with developing, implementing, and enforcing cost effective logistics solutions for management along with accountable property and end-user IT requirements for Organizations and other supported customers. For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-12 level is defined as experience managing end-user IT requirements and accountable property; researches and analyzes logistics support requirements related to end-user IT requirements, and information management systems hardware and software; developing and implementing strategies for acquisition of products, services, and material Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-11 LEVEL: Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level.

  • FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying or prior to appointment as outlined above.
    • Qualifying education from colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of equivalency to that acquired in U.S. colleges and universities. Applicants educated in whole or in part in foreign countries must submit sufficient evidence, including transcripts, to an accredited private organization for an equivalency evaluation of course work and degree. You must provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation upon request. Failure to provide such documentation when requested will result in lost consideration.
