You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the NETC Site East N663 (ECR IT/Cyber Support) of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6.

Duties

You will manage, administer, maintain and perform problem resolution of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Virtual Server Services (VSS) environments within the assigned AOR. You will builds, configure and support virtualized server and desktop environments. Working with other technical support personnel and product venders in resolving critical problems. You will oversee and perform change/configuration management support to include application/firmware updates and upgrades using various tools/services and methods You will coordinate and provide administrative and customer support for the VDI and VSS environments outside the assigned AOR as assigned in support of continuity of operations (COOP), project surge and/or other enterprise gap coverage. You will Manage analyses efforts over equipment/software reliability and utilization reports to identify and define problem areas to establish network and telecommunications performance levels

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451 System Administrator, proficiency level Intermediate, required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DON policies.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and implementing tasks with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems for Server (2016 or newer) and Desktop (10 or newer) in accordance with policy and guidelines; 2) Maintaining and administering VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and Virtual Servers in accordance with policies and guidelines; 3) Utilizing new technologies' integration testing and evaluation; and 4) Evaluating computer systems hardware and software to recommend and resolve operating issues. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
