You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in the Design and Construction of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. This position is also subject to a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and Non-Foreign Post Differential (NFPD) currently set at 12.04% and 12.96%, respectively. COLA and NFPD are subject to change without notice.

Duties

You will be responsible for the project management features of work related to military construction projects. You will coordinate and direct the work of others in the timely execution of project development, design, and construction for all projects assigned. You will render technical decisions/recommendations on situations, questions, and/or problems relating to scheduling, funding, project coordination, and contract interpretations which could affect the execution of the project. You will ensure statutory costs are not exceeded, and that the letter and intent of authorization and appropriation laws are carried through. You will identify areas of risk associated with design and construction and develop mitigation strategies or alternatives. You will produce written correspondence regarding project-related topics including status updates, informational briefings, make oral presentations and formal presentations / briefings to high level civilian and military leaders.

Qualifications

GS-12 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading or providing project management services for planning, design, and construction of assigned projects; 2) Providing recommendations for resolving project problems due to design and construction issues; 3) Managing or supporting the planning, budgeting, programming, engineering, construction execution, and construction phases for facilities projects; and 4) Preparing and presenting briefs related to scopes of work, design reviews, contract negotiations, etc. Note: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
