This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service
About the Position: Serve as team leader of a traffic management control team within the Depot Operations Directorate, Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA).
Duties
Ensure team work assignments are carried out and productivity initiatives are achieved.
Coordinate collection of data and report information to Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and other headquarters as required.
Oversee the team in ensuring determination of the most efficient and economical rates and routes for movement of freight worldwide to non- recurring points, ports, and foreign destinations.
Ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.
Responsible for transportation of hazardous materials; ammunition and explosives components, missiles, and high-value items; classified items requiring guards/security; and items requiring special services.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 grade level, which includes: Experience that provided a general knowledge and understanding of traffic or transportation programs and operations for the movement of hazardous materials and other sensitive freight.
OR
Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
OR
Certificate: Possession of a certificate as certified Member, American Society of Transportation and Logistics meets the requirements for GS-5 (equivalent to the lowest pay band level of NH-2). Persons with such certificates may also qualify for higher grade levels based on their education and/or experience. (Note: You must attach a copy of your certification with your application package.)

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
