About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 780th MI BDE, DET-TX, 782D MI BN responsible for providing situational awareness and understanding of the Cyber threats impacting the assigned target areas of interest and associated systems.
Duties
Coordinates and collaborates efforts across the Cyberspace Operation spectrum with the Joint community and other agencies
Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel performing a variety of intelligence, Information Operations, and Cyberspace Operations
Provides actionable intelligence through the development and management of Indications and Warnings to support the Joint Operations Process
Conducts in-depth analysis of the Threat by country and group to rapidly respond to activities
Provides situational awareness and understanding of Cyber threats impacting assigned target areas of interest and associated systems
Uses a broad knowledge of global telecommunications technologies and methodologies, computer networks, security, hardware, and operating systems
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) and could be assigned to any location worldwide during periods of increased tension and mobilization.
- Certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct, and overall fitness must be maintained to ensure suitability for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment.
- Must be able to obtain Senior level USCYBERCOM/ARCYBER JQR certification within two (2) years of completing the Digital Network Exploitation Analyst training.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG-12 in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience directing and leading Intelligence analytic efforts from collection and targeting to multi-state selection, processing, and reporting focusing on Cyberspace Operations, Information Operations, and Intelligence Oversight or possesses the Senior Joint Qualification Skill certification for the Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA) work role. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
