Serves an Administrative Officer in a Flight Standards Functional Area. Incumbent is responsible for performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization.

Qualifications
H Band Duties continued:Coordinates with Human Resources for advice on advisory services as they relate to organizational related functions including pay and leave. and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and manages the training program including initial and recurring.Responsible for managing the office logistics program including personal property, supplies and services, and acquisition activities, awards, OSHA. security, and vehicle management.Procures office supplies and equipment and closely monitors expenditures and reviews purchase card statements for accuracy.Work activities may be critical to the success of projects for one or more organizational entities within the office demographic and functional area. Recommends improvements to systems and processes. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions to recurring problems and offers recommendations for improvements.Interprets guidelines and provides management with advice and counsel on the operation of assigned programs and interrelationships of such programs.Work is reviewed periodically, typically at major milestones and at completion for policy compliance and alignment with other work activity.Performs additional duties as they are assigned.To qualify for this position at the FV-G level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F, FG/GS-9. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience applying management principles, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization. Experience with the general management of an organization. Experience developing and securing for the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and operate an organization.To qualify for this position at the FV-H level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, FG-GS-10/11. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience applying management principles, practices, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience integrating management services with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization. Experience performing systematic general management reviews and audits to reach conclusions and make recommendations.Security Requirements: Moderate Risk (5): This position requires completion & favorable adjudication of a Tier 2 (T2) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained and approved.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
Education
Substitution of education or equivalent combinations of education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Education substitution for FV-G: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
There is no education substitution for the FV-H.
Foreign education must be evaluated by a private professional organization specializing in interpretation of foreign education credentials or an accredited US educational institution in terms of equivalency to a degree acquired at an American college or university. A copy of the evaluation results must be included, otherwise your foreign education will not be considered.
