You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.
Duties
You will prepare Terrorism Threat Assessments for those personnel and assets for which they have anti-terrorism (AT) responsibilities.
You will conduct a Vulnerability Assessment (VA) in conjunction with other AT Working Group members in a collaborative effort.
You will update Physical Security Plans, Loss Prevention Manual, Crisis Response instructions and provide recommendations regarding changes in security specifications.
You will make suggestions regarding changes in security policies and its implementation.
You will conduct annual physical security survey in accordance with prescribed policies and regulations and may prepare waivers and exceptions, when required.
You will conduct classroom training on physical security and crime prevention for newly reporting personnel and annual training for all personnel.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing threat assessments for personnel and assets which have anti-terrorism responsibilities; 2) Updating plans, manuals, and instructions to provide recommendations regarding changes to security specifications; 3) Conducting inspections of mission essential vulnerable assets, arms, ammunition, and explosive storage facilities and critical infrastructure; 4) Conducting classroom, formal, and informal training on crime prevention and physical security awareness programs; 5) Serving as a Loss Prevention Technical Specialist/ Security Advisor for the installation during meetings.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
OR
A combination of graduate education and specialized experience. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
