This position is located in a Rural Development State office. The purpose of this position is to provide support for the delivery of grant programs within a state. NOTE: THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE OR VIRTUAL. THE EMPLOYEE WILL BE EXPECTED TO REPORT IN PERSON TO THE ASSIGNED DUTY LOCATION.

Duties

Provides guidance to applicants, the public, and interested parties on program procedures, policies, and requirements for submitting applications. Aids with reviews and analyzes of grant requests received. Identify and develop training needs to facilitate maximum program participation. Develops, reviews, and analyzes management reports for compliance with program regulations.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. GS-9 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience assisting in the coordination of funding actions that begin the grant agreement process. Experience providing with the administration of the grants portfolio and assisting with activities related to monitoring grants. OR Master's or degree OR 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree, if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience. GS-11 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience reviewing grant applications for accuracy to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory guidelines. Experience assisting with completion of grant program evaluations to ensure the programs effectively carried out and consistent with National or State policy and procedures. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience.
