Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: This position serves as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Quality Assurance Surveillance Program (QASP) which supports the Construction Support Office (CSO) contract and alterations renovations projects. The incumbent conducts in-depth evaluations and studies of contractors' QC or inspection manuals when the situation warrants and makes recommendations for improvements. Complete inspection forms and other contract administration documentation for all aspects of contracted services and maintains supporting files. Participate at engineering design reviews, pre-procurement planning and pre-award/post awards and quality review and quality deficiency investigation when applicable.

Or You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to 1) applying quality assurance methods, principles, and practices to plan and accomplish a variety of work assignments involving all facets of one or more a quality assurance programs; 2) interpreting technical requirements and specifications of service contracts and/or operations; and 3) investigating and analyzing deficiencies and developing recommendations for corrective action. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
