Duties

This position is located in the Office of Legal Education (OLE), Executive office for United State Attorneys (EOUSA). OLE is responsible for training attorneys, legal staff, and other designated staff for the Department of Justice as well as other federal agencies, state, local and tribal governments, and foreign governments. Typical work assignments will include:

Requirements

  • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
  • Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
  • You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
  • If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
  • You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:GS-7: To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level. Specialized Experience: is defined as providing support and assistance to a training team; assisting in the development of course materials (such as: exercises, slides, handouts, learning aids and tutorials); reviewing and summarizing course evaluations; ensuring arrangements for training rooms, materials, supplies, equipment, and audiovisual needs are made. GS-8: To be eligible at the GS-8 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level as described below. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing support in the preparation, management, and control of in person and distance(virtual) training; providing draft agendas, training materials, and other program planning and development; assisting in preparing, formatting, and proofreading course materials; assisting in designing and revising course materials. GS-9: To be eligible at the GS-9 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 level as described below. Specialized experience is defined as experience organizing and maintaining materials on a variety of complex materials for training programs; identifying potential problem areas and recommending appropriate solutions; providing guidance to interested training participants and trainers on course prerequisites/criteria and processes; acting as point of contact for students. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. Education
