Duties

You will supervise the work of subordinates engaged in processing, delivering, and collecting incoming/outgoing mail to service soldiers and their family members. You will provide advice concerning mail handling operations and/or services to maintain the flow and timely delivery of mail. You will make procedural modifications in accordance with priorities established to assure daily operation of the Post Office. You will develop work performance standards to set expectations and provide exceptional quality of work. You will conduct internal personnel administration and management actions to minimize and/or eliminate the potential for fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement and inefficiency. You will investigate postal incidents and other specific problems to report findings as necessary.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency. Incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
