The Center of Integrated Healthcare (CIH) is a VA office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Center of Excellence, with a long-term goal of improving the Healthcare for Veterans by integrating mental health services into medical settings.
Duties

The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide acquisition, management, processing analysis and interpretation of VHA administrative and clinical data.
Serve as researcher conducting investigator-initiated externally funded and statistical support as a co-investigator.
Extracts large volumes of highly complex clinical and administrative health service data from multiple databases.
Assist in developing cost estimates, budget justifications, and research plans for data management components of research grant submissions.
Design advanced statistical procedures , conducts analyses , interpret data and create reports of results.
Conduct and/or supervise all study activities, including participant recruitment , enrollment retention , oversight of human protections during process.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications
Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (Transcript Required)
AND
Grant writing: For positions at grades GS-12 or equivalent and above involved in professional work in grants administration, qualifying experience is considered to be experience in grants administration in areas of science, medical and healthcare fields similar or related to the work of the position.
Specialized Experience: You must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience: Direct all aspects of research projects in the areas of mental health or primary care. Create and deliver accurate and usable datasets to the requester and for utilization of data in national healthcare electronic record systems. Design and execute advanced statistical analyses. Oversee research or data acquisition teams. Train research assistants to effectively carry out participant recruitment, data collection, data entry, and project tracking activities. Write manuscripts for publication.
