You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER at Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center, NAVAVNWARDEVCEN.
Duties
You will serve as Administrative Officer, Supervisor and Legal Officer assigned to the areas of administrative direction, administrative support, supply support services, management direction and advisor.
You will prepare documents relating to current and future manpower requirements.
You will oversee the Government Travel Program.
You will be responsible for ensuring all existing regulations, policy changes, directives are followed regarding the Navy’s Records Management Program.
You will serve as the Official Mail Manager, and ensure all matters related to official mail and records are handled accordingly to current law and regulations.
You will review and evaluate completed staff actions for overall quality of the document, appropriate levels of coordination, consistency, logic, soundness of recommendations.
You will supervise one GS-11, one O3, one E7, three GS-7s, five GS-5s, and provide secondary supervision of seven junior enlisted (E6 and below) personnel in the daily performance of assigned duties for admin, travel and supply divisions.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing evaluative techniques to analyze administrative programs and processes and make recommendations for the achievement of program objectives.
