About the Position: You will serve as the system administrator, installation technical expert, and trainer for Installation Integrated Personnel and Pay System - ARMY (IPPS-A) for all United States Army Garrison (USAG) and tenant activities on the installation.

Duties

Utilize internet-based systems to submit investigation requests and fingerprint scans. Provide personalized in-depth counseling/assistance to eligible active Army personnel, retired Soldiers, their dependents, or survivors within geographic area of responsibility. Identify the impact of changes on the policies and procedures of the installation and subordinate organizations. Represent the command at various conferences and planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the employee to temporarily travel away from their normal duty station up to 10% of the time for work, training and/or conferences.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. [remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
