You will serve as a SANDBLAST SUPERVISOR in the MARINE DEPOT MAINTENANCE COMMAND of MCLC ALBANY GA.

Duties

You will establish deadlines and prioritize workflows on the basis of production schedules, reports, data bases and production methodologies. You will determine correct sequence of operations, skill set requirements, correct tooling and facilities needed to accomplish work assignments. You will motivate employees to work as an effective team. Explains work requirements, methods and procedures as needed. You will keep data based training records, determines training needs of subordinates and makes arrangements for the accomplishment of identified training.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to carry loads up to 40 pounds.
  • Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition.
  • Must be willing and able to be Recalled to Duty outside of normal working hours.
