About the Position: This position is located at the South Florida Operations Office of the Jacksonville District in Clewiston, Florida. Clewiston, historically known as America's Sweetest Town, was incorporated in 1925 and occupies 4.57 square miles. Clewiston is centrally located in south Florida about 60 miles east of Fort Myers on the Gulf of Mexico and 60 miles west of Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
Duties

Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices, and of equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to produce motion, light, power, technology, and other applications.
Provide technical support to Contracting Officer Representatives related to planning, organizing, and evaluating procurement functions and contractor performance, in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time; ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge of contracting principles and procedures applicable to administer contracts for a variety of specialized equipment, services, and construction. Have practical knowledge of a wide range of technical engineering and maintenance methods, principles, work techniques, and practices of an area of specialization, with analytical and evaluative methods/ techniques sufficient to perform Quality Assurance oversight to contracted installation, maintenance, and operation services/tasks.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
